* On March 21, 2013 scientists from the European Space Agency, announced the age of the universe at 13.813 billion, plus or minus 58 million years. This calculation was based on an analysis of data from the Planck satelite mission. That data, combined with other research results, reveals a possible age of the universe of 13.798 billion, plus or minus 37 million years. Here we assume, with an unscientific level of precision, that the universe was precisely 13.798 billion years old, as of midnight on 3/21/2013 UTC. Also, rather than manage leap year calculations, we use a year-length of 365.242222 days.
